Metros to trade Tim Ward for Chris Henderson
January 12, 2006

MetroFanatic has learned of a pending trade that should be announced soon. Chris Henderson, a 10-year MLS veteran, will be acquired from the Columbus Crew for the youngster Tim Ward. The Metros would be Henderson's fifth MLS team, after Colorado (two stints), Kansas City (where he was teammates with Mo Johnston), Miami, and Columbus. Ward played well for the Metros in his limited time with the team, but was benched by Mo Johnston down the stretch run. However, he was cap-exempted as a Generation Adidas player. Henderson is 35, Ward is 18.
